On May 24, 1957 William T. Belcher and Dale V. Gregory were married at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Seattle Washington. Dale and Bill will celebrate with family and friends on a cruise to Alaska in July.
Their fifty years of marriage have been blessed with two children, five grandchildren and two great grand children. Joining them on the cruise will be son Bill Belcher, Jr., daughter-in-law Sherida and grandchildren Alec, Valette, and Ryan of Oxnard, and daughter Wendy Hawley, son-in-law Brian and grandson Nicholas of Shoreline, Wash. Friends Sue and Wayne Odgers of Oxnard and Roy and Nancy Hales of Camarillo will also be on board. Prior to the cruise, time will be spent in the Seattle area with granddaughter Bonnie, her husband Jeff and the great-grandchildren Sierra and Jake.
Bill and Dale spent 22 years as a Navy family enjoying such duty stations as Guam, Washington, D.C., Virginia, Hawaii, and Port Hueneme. Bill's next career was 22 years with the Boys Scouts of America. Ventura County Council with retirement in 2001. In "retirement", Bill spends time as CFO of the Calif. Strawberry Festival, treasurer of All Saints Episcopal Church and Treasurer of several other non-profit organizations. Dale continues as City Treasurer for the city of Oxnard, a position she has held since 1988.
Favorite activities for both Dale and Bill include travel, especially cruising, community activities and volunteerism.
